Centennial hops are a much celebrated variety across North America. Centennial is known for its versatility as it fits well in many different beer varieties, but the upfront citrus/floral flavours and aromas make it perfect for APA’s, IPA’s and other ales. The strong combination of floral and citrus that centennial features is responsible for the hops affectionate nickname: Super Cascade. Centennial hops’ desired alpha acid range is relatively high at 9%-12% while the beta acid is best between 3% and 5%.
